This role plays a critical part in ensuring that HR policies, procedures, and governance frameworks are effectively designed, implemented, and maintained in compliance with legal, regulatory, and organizational standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in HR policy formulation, grievance handling, internal and external audits, and HR data reporting.The HR Governance Specialist will act as a key link between HR operations, compliance, and leadership, ensuring our workplace remains compliant, fair, and aligned with best practices.RequirementsKey Responsibilities1. HR Policy Formulation & Implementation

  • Develop, update, and maintain HR policies, guidelines, and procedures in alignment with labor laws, industry best practices, and organizational objectives.
  • Collaborate with leadership and HR teams to ensure policies are communicated effectively and consistently applied across the organization.
  • Review policies periodically to identify gaps, compliance risks, and areas for improvement.

2. Grievance Handling & Conflict Resolution

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee grievances and workplace concerns.
  • Facilitate fair, unbiased, and timely investigations into employee complaints in line with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Provide recommendations to resolve conflicts while maintaining confidentiality and ensuring fairness.
  • Support initiatives to promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

3. Internal & External Audit Compliance

  • Coordinate and support internal HR audits to assess adherence to policies, compliance with employment laws, and effectiveness of HR processes.
  • Prepare documentation and evidence for external audits related to labor regulations, diversity reporting, and HR compliance.
  • Identify and implement corrective actions to address audit findings and prevent future non-compliance.

4. HR Data Reporting & Analysis

  • Compile, analyze, and present HR metrics and reports on workforce demographics, attrition, grievances, audit outcomes, and policy compliance.
  • Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and confidentiality in HR data management and reporting.
  • Provide insights to management to aid in decision-making and policy refinement.

5. Stakeholder Collaboration & Training

  • Partner with business leaders, HR teams, and compliance officers to maintain alignment on HR governance standards.
  • Conduct training sessions for managers and employees on HR policies, grievance mechanisms, and compliance requirements.
  • Stay updated on changes in employment laws and regulations to keep the organization informed and compliant.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 3–6 years of experience in HR governance, compliance, or policy management.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, HR regulations, and compliance frameworks.
  • Proven experience in HR policy formulation, grievance handling, internal and external audits, and HR data reporting.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and reporting capabilities with proficiency in MS Excel and HRIS systems.
  • High ethical standards, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.

Expected salary: Rs.500000 – 700000 per year
