We are currently seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Field Sales Representative with experience in building materials to join our growing team.Job Overview:As a Field Sales Representative, you will be responsible for generating sales and expanding our market presence within the building materials industry. You will engage with contractors, architects, suppliers, and other stakeholders to understand their needs, provide tailored solutions, and drive revenue growth. This role is field-based and will require you to travel regularly within your assigned territory.Key Responsibilities:Sales Development: Identify and develop new business opportunities within the construction and building materials market.Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients, contractors, and distributors.Product Knowledge: Demonstrate a deep understanding of our product range, including concrete, cement, insulation, and other construction materials, to effectively present and sell to customers.Sales Presentations: Conduct in-person sales presentations, product demos, and technical discussions with potential clients and decision-makers.Market Research: Analyze competitor products, market trends, and customer feedback to provide insights for new product development and sales strategies.Quoting & Negotiation: Prepare and present accurate pricing and product proposals to clients while negotiating terms and closing sales deals.Sales Targets: Meet or exceed sales quotas and KPIs, ensuring consistent growth in territory sales.Reporting & Documentation: Maintain detailed records of sales activities, customer interactions, and project statuses in CRM tools. Submit regular reports to the Sales Manager.Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams such as customer service, logistics, and technical support to ensure customer satisfaction and timely product delivery.Qualifications:Experience:Minimum 3-5 years of proven sales experience in the building materials or construction industry. Knowledge of construction materials and industry practices is a strong plus.Education: A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.Skills:
- Strong knowledge of building materials, including but not limited to cement, concrete, insulation, roofing, etc.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build rapport with customers and key decision-makers.
- Proficient in using CRM software and MS Office Suite.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a drive to achieve sales targets.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in B2B sales within the building and construction industry.
- Understanding of the supply chain and distribution networks for building materials.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
