As a Desktop Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance for the hardware and software systems within the organization. This is a full-time position based at our office, and the successful candidate will play an integral role in ensuring smooth IT operations. Key Responsibilities:Hardware Support: Manage and maintain desktop computers, laptops, and related equipment.Software Installation & Maintenance: Install and update necessary software on all desktops and laptops.Technical Support: Provide troubleshooting support for hardware and software issues for internal staff.System Configuration: Configure and deploy new desktop systems, ensuring all required software is installed and properly set up.Network Support: Assist with basic network setup and troubleshoot connectivity issues.Documentation: Maintain records of desktop configurations, support requests, and resolutions.Security & Backup: Ensure all systems are secure, and manage backups as per company guidelines.User Training: Provide support and basic training for users regarding desktop systems and applications. Requirements:Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in desktop support, IT helpdesk, or similar roles.Technical Skills: Knowledge of hardware components, operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.), basic networking, and software troubleshooting.Problem-Solving Skills: Strong ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills for interacting with staff and vendors.Adaptability: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage time efficiently, and multitask as required.
