Salary : Upto 35k Job Summary:We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor with 4 years of hands-on experience in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects. You will support project teams with cost planning, contract administration, risk assessment, and value engineering. Key Responsibilities:Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities.Monitor project budgets and control costs throughout project lifecycle.Conduct feasibility studies and risk analyses to support tender submissions.Evaluate and negotiate contract terms with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.Prepare interim and final payment applications and assist with cash flow forecasting.Conduct site visits and monitor progress against project milestones and budgets.Analyze variations and change orders; prepare cost impact reports.Liaise with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure cost-efficient delivery.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction costs, materials, and industry regulations.Assist with dispute resolution and claims management. Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.Minimum of 4 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry (commercial, residential, or infrastructure).Strong understanding of construction methods, contracts (e.g., FIDIC, JCT), and procurement practices.Proficient in cost estimation software (e.g., CostX, Candy, or similar).Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools.Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.Attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Preferred Qualifications:Membership of a professional body (e.g., RICS, AIQS, CIQS, or equivalent) is an advantage.Experience in both pre-contract and post-contract phases of construction projects.
